FLS miljų a/s has transferred the Air Pollution Control (APC) to the FLSmidth Airtech company and divested its biomass and utility boiler activities.

FLS miljų is ceasing its activities, but is dedicated to fulfilling the obligations on the remaining core activities:

Flue Gas Desulphurisation Plants

FLS miljų was formed in 1987 to meet the growing demand for air pollution control equipment in Europe. Today FLS miljų has a total reference list of 7,000 MW in operation in Europe.

The FGD technology was developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, having a total reference list for the technology including more than 40,000 MW of capacity with more than 500 years of accumulated operating experience world wide.

FLS miljų has in 2004 and 2005 handed over two large turnkey FGD plants to the clients in UK:

Both plants are running well and are now under guarantee.

FLS miljų is not taking on new FGD contracts, but remains dedicated to honouring our obligations on the existing contracts.

Operation and Maintenance of the Sangüesa Biomass-fired power plant.

The Operation and Maintenance services have two primary objectives:

·         To reduce the cost of producing a kWh of energy

·         Allow the plant to provide power when it is needed through a focus on availability and reliability

FLS miljų has - through its unique combination of detailed design know-how and extensive fleet experience - supplied a range of products and services to clients in the power sector.

·         Plant operation and maintenance

·         Outage work

·         Supply of spare parts for complete plants as well as individual components.

The Spanish plant, located in the Navarra province, will be operated and maintained by FLS miljų for a period of 10 years. The plant has been supplied on a turn-key basis by FLS miljų.
